Rules & Regulations

A shared understanding between the school, parents, and guardians — so every child’s day at KKA is safe, structured, and consistent.

School Programme

1.1School officially opens at 8:00am. All children are expected in their respective classes by 8:00am.
1.2All KKA staff are expected to report for duty at 7:30am. A parent should hand over their child to an identified teacher.
1.3No KKA child should be left with security personnel.
1.4The normal school programme runs from 8:00am to 1:00pm.
1.5The Day Care programme runs from 1:00pm to 6:00pm.
1.6Each child is expected to report for school in the proper school uniform, as stipulated on the school timetable.
1.7A child without a swimming costume will not be allowed in the swimming pool.
1.8A child without P.E. uniform will not be allowed to participate in P.E. activities.

No KKA child should ever be left in the care of security personnel — only an identified teacher.

2.1The school provides a break meal to all school children.
2.2All children on the Day Care programme are provided with lunch and evening tea.
2.3No food or drink packed from outside the school is allowed, without the express authorisation of the Head Teacher.
2.4Chewing gum is strictly not allowed at school.

3.1
A child on the normal school programme is expected to be picked up by an authorised person between 12:30pm and 1:00pm.
- An authorised person is the parent or guardian.
- Any other person must be introduced by the parent or guardian.
3.2Any child on the normal school programme not picked up within the stipulated time will be served lunch at a cost payable by the parent/guardian, determined from time to time by the Executive Committee.
3.3Children on the Day Care programme should be picked up by the authorised person from the class teacher any time after 12:30pm but not later than 6:00pm.
3.4A parent/guardian of a Day Care child not picked up by 6:00pm will be subject to a fine determined by the Executive Committee.

4.1A parent/guardian introduced to the class teacher by the Head Teacher has the obligation to pick up the child from their class.
4.2In an emergency, when a parent/guardian is unable to pick up the child, the parent must call the school office, identify themselves with the school-given secret number, and provide a password. The delegated person must reveal the password to authorised school personnel to gain access to the child.
4.3Any person not introduced to the school will not be allowed access to any child.

5.1Any KKA parent/guardian may celebrate their child’s birthday at school from 11:00am to 12:00 noon, in the child’s classroom.
5.2No birthday party will be allowed to start before 11:00am or after 11:30am.
5.3No birthday party should last for more than 45 minutes.
5.4Parents intending to celebrate a birthday at school must communicate with the teacher at least two days in advance.
5.5The school reserves the right to limit the items brought for a birthday party held at school.

6.1No child is allowed to carry school property, or any other property not belonging to them, from school without express permission from the school administration.
6.2Parents/guardians are expected to return any property not belonging to their child to the class teacher.
6.3No child will be allowed to carry property to school without the express authorisation of the parent/guardian, on request by the school administration in writing.

7.1The school lends books to children. Parents/guardians must supervise their child while reading or doing homework. If a book is torn or lost, the parent is obliged to pay for or replace it with a new one.

8.1All KKA children are expected to report to school clean and tidy, in both body and clothes.
8.2Any child suffering from a communicable disease — such as flu, cough, measles, mumps, smallpox, or chicken pox — should be kept at home until well.
8.3The school nurse administers first aid to children who have accidents or fall sick at school.
8.4If a child needs more medical attention, they are referred to a health centre and the parent/guardian is informed immediately.
8.5All motorists are encouraged to drive responsibly and be considerate of other road users around the school area.
8.6All motorists are obliged to respect the instructions of KKA parking guides.
8.7All motorists are encouraged to drive slowly as they approach the school premises.
8.8Parents/guardians are responsible for their child’s safety when crossing the road to or from the school premises.

9.1
KKA is an institution that teaches children. As role models, all stakeholders are expected to:
- Dress respectfully.
- Avoid unbecoming behaviour, such as the use of abusive words or fighting.
9.2No parent/guardian/teacher is allowed to administer corporal punishment to their own child, or any child, within KKA premises.

Corporal punishment is strictly prohibited on KKA premises, by anyone, at any time.
