About KKA

Discover the story of Kampala Kindergarten Association: from our historic 1951 foundation to a thriving, forward-looking school community focused on excellence and growth.
A Tradition of Happy Kids and Great Results!
Our tradition that has shaped KKA continues to underpin our approach today, but with a distinctly modern ethos. At the heart of everything we do is a simple belief: happy kids get great results. Academic success remains a key aim, but it is never pursued in isolation. We foster aspiration, discipline and a deep sense of personal growth, while ensuring our pupils feel supported, confident and joyful in their learning.

Guided by a caring and dedicated team of teachers, our children are given the very best start to their learning journey. We nurture curious, confident and happy learners in an environment where their personal, social, emotional and cultural development is valued just as much as their early academic growth.

Through play, exploration and meaningful relationships, we help every child develop the confidence, independence and love of learning they need to thrive.

🌱 The Journey of Kampala Kindergarten Association
Our Foundation

The first foundation of Kampala Kindergarten Association is recorded in 1951 when the school was registered as a Public Trust by a group of British parents with a major objective of providing a worthwhile care and education for their children between three and six years.

Initially, KKA was exclusive to only children from the well-to-do families, who at that time were mainly European children. However, Kampala Kindergarten Association is now an Early Childhood Education centre for children of all nationalities between two and six years old.
